The Rage Continues: Playboi Carti Announces Antagonist 2.0
Playboi Carti has officially announced Antagonist 2.0, the latest installment of his tour under the Opium label. Joining him on the road are Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang, and the label’s newest signee, Apollo Red.
The tour kicks off on October 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah, stops in the DMV at Capital One Arena on November 11, and wraps up on December 1 in Atlanta, Georgia. The “2.0” branding signals a revival after Antagonist 1.0 was canceled, reportedly due to low ticket sales and the absence of new music to anchor the shows.
While some rumors suggest Antagonist 2.0 could face similar challenges—especially with higher ticket prices—many fans are expected to buy closer to show dates, particularly following the release of Carti’s new album I AM MUSIC this past March.
As someone who has seen Playboi Carti perform twice, I can confidently say fans should expect an explosive, high-energy show filled with chaotic mosh pits and Opium’s signature rage anthems. Carti has even teased stage design elements on his burner Instagram account, @opium_00pium, previewing trucks on the concert floor, inverted pyrotechnics, and floating, mobile light rigs—hinting at a performance that will push the boundaries of live visuals.
